Welcome To Lavender Spring Ranch
We are open during the summer growing season from Mid-June til mid-October. We are happy to have you visit. Come on in thru the gate…drive up the drive and stop at the Little Red Barn. We will be looking for you…
However during the off season, mid-October thru mid-June, you will find the gate locked up tight while the fields are all asleep resting up for your summer visit. During the off season period we are happy to have you come to visit our gift shop or for overnight accommodations by appointment only.
Our summer season 2007 has come to an end! To the many of you who came to visit us...from near and far ...We Thank You. We are so happy that you made it out!
We started picking lavender Father's Day Weekend. The Lavender fields were more beautiful than ever before with all of them blooming at once. Our pure essential oil and hydrosol is a rich treasure of great prize. Those juicy red raspberries were ready and waiting for your picking pleasure. We had black-eyed peas and green beans, Silver Queen sweet corn, squash, cucumbers, peppers, okra, green chili, jalapeños...and this year we even had tomatoes. In fact they just kept on coming on!
The Pumpkin Patch was so much fun. My sister, Jo, visited from Texas and we got to pick the first Cinderella Pumpkin from the field. When we arrived back at the house with it she quickly found a recipe for pumpkin bread. That turned out to be the very best pumpkin bread ever! It was rich and moist and we added a few walnuts and instead of raisins we put in "craisins"! Oh, I can still taste it!
Have a good winter time! What ever you are doing and where ever you are, we hope your day is a fine one! Be blessed with peace and joy and spread it all around your part of the world. |
